Wolves, White, and the Rohirrim!

 Hobey ho all,

To start, I am SOOOOO sorry for not posting in such a good long while. Don't worry beloved reader, the Long promised XWP& HLJ retrospective is still coming. Todays musing is being brought because of the amazing newest addition to The Lord of The Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.

Yes as all my reviews go this will be SUPER SPOILERY! So turn away NOW if you don't want to be spoiled!

So literally I managed to just pick up the Bluray for it, yesterday, the  19th of February. First off tho I must say using the medium of the Japanese Anime style was a stroke of genius. Short to say I quite enjoyed this film.

So to start it off the use of animation to tell a story that was only a page and a half in the appendicies of the Lord of the Rings was epic. they took a short bit of history and made it into a full story was awesome. There were some points in the film's style that looked so realistic, and pulled me in from the pressing of play! The characters were so well drawn as well. Animation does bring in some gorgeous facial animations that just flow really well from scene to scene and flows so well with the dialogue. Since this used a Japanese style of animation there is 2 main voice casts, the English and Japanese dubs, I am sure there are options to watch it in other languages, But the trailers did promote 2 main dubs of the story from what I saw of both English and Japanese trailers. There are some gorgeous flowy clothing in the film. Yes I have scene from some others that there is a Attack on Titan(AOT) resembleance in the style the clothes were drawn in, No I have NOT scene this anime yet. to my eyes I don't see the resemblance But I do see a familial feel to the other films, including the Ralph Bakshi Animated Lord of the Rings films. There is also a familial feel that harkens back to Hayao Myazaki's films especially Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononke, and Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind.

The music had so many great moments. There were many a callback to the films and some new instruments that gave the film it's own feeling. Paris Paloma, known for her song Too Much Labour, performs the End song for the film "The Rider." I think she did a fantastic job. It's a very fitting song for the end of the journey we went on with this film. Holds some fun symbolism for our Hero, Héra, and her journey. Stephen Gallagher is the composer for this film, he was A sound editor for Peter Jackson films by composer Howard Shore.

It is nice seeing fresh eyes in this beloved franchise. It's also nice to note that there are several creatives who have returned from the Peter Jackson films. From having Miranda Otto Reprise her role as Eówyn (this time she is our Narrator), Using old voice recordings of the late great Ser Christopher Lee as Saruman the White, to the silly silly boys, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan as two new characters, the orcs Shanks and Wrot. These old favorites give us fans a feeling of nostalgia as we find these new and old characters thru the movie. It lends a good familial feeling to this film. And now let me gush on the new performers, We get a great and powerful King in Helm Hammerhand Voiced by the great and mighty Brian Cox (Masachika Ichimura), Our Heroine Héra voiced by young actress Gaia Wise (Fūka Koshiba), Our sexy bad-boy Wulf, A Dunlender, played by Luka Pasqualino (Kenjirō Tsuda), and a wealth of other castmates. This film is directed fantastically by Kenji Kamiyama, he is well known in the anime world for some beautiful anime. from my understanding, the Japanese cast is just as phenomenal as the English cast.

Ok so now let's see gushed about how gorgeous this is.... check, Gushed on how awesome the mix of new and old castmates are.... also check. Now on to the story itself.... So As I said above I loved this story. It was beautiful and I cannot wait to watch it again. Next time will the Japanese dub cause I am a big ole anime girlie! I love watching both versions of either a movie or a show that has an english dub and/or a Japanese dub.

so i have not watched the sub with the japanese voices yet but I thank you all for joining me on this journey! At the end of the day this is a must watch film

No-Maj, Muggle, Why cant we be simply muggles?

And An interesting question this provides indeed! So I just returned from seeing Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Overall the film was amazing! The effects and just the story itself. Even the new creatures! All were ecstatic and simply Wizard! This really is a great film to watch and enjoy! But Like all good things there were some flaws in it that need discussing and certain story points i hope Get explained In the next film(s). Shall we beguin?....

yes we shall!

P.S. This post is SPOILERY LIKE MY OTHERS IF YOU WISH TO WAIT AND SEE THE FILM THEN WAIT GO SEE IT AND THEN RETURN TO US!!!!

Now As The title suggests theres A new name out there for us non-magic folk here In good old North america. No-Maj, its deffinetly interesting! But At the Same time really Why Must we have a different species name? Uggghh! Well for now this question will probably remain Unanswered.... But Its diffinetly interesting.

As I said before this film was Amazing. Such a great cast! Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), Dan Fogler ( Jacob Kowalski), Katherine Waterson ( Porpen*tina* Goldstein), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstien), Colin Farrel (Percieval Graves), Ezra Miller (Credence), Samantha Morton ( Mary Lou), Jon Voight (Henry Shaw Sr.), Carmen Ejogo (USA President of MACUSA  Seriphina), and the amazing Johnny Depp (Gellert Grindelwald). This cast is bloody brilliant together! From the moment the film begins to the moment it ends, it is a Greatwork that both reminds us and yet reintroduces us to moments and Certain creatures and spells that just compliments the original Harry Potter saga! And yes this film Is a great Stand Alone movie in my mind. Even the 3D effect was Immersive as was the Sounds and backgrounds.

Now seeing that I consider this both a brand new beginning and A prequel to our beloved saga. This gives us A new story that is set In a time period long gone, the 1920's new York, Filled with lots of new exciting characters and spells, But Also old ones that Bring back memories. not to mention all the awesome wizard duels!

Newt Scamander's suitcase was such a beautiful new world to explore! I thought it was Neat and utterly Stunning that It Brought me back To the awe inspiring look harry gave us in the the goblet of fire movie when he entered the Weaseley's tent for the first time. The spell that creates Newt's case, The Weasely's tent, and Hermionie's Beaded bag..... etc, is a charm called Undetected Extension charm. this charm really is neat I say.

Now As I said this film takes place in 1920's New York, During the rise to power from an evil Wizard named Gellert Grindelwald whose plan was to make a big scene reveling the wizarding world to muggles (No-Maj) and then take over the whole world And make the muggles subservient To Wizards. In the future films we are all hoping for the Big Battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald Which alot of us Potterheads are clamoring for. Also theres A big suprise  for we longtime fans towards the middle which gets paid off at the end of the film! Now back to the Plot it seems Our Boy Newt wasn't planning On staying in London. We find out that he Says He had plans to go west to Arizona! but he doesn't at least not this trip especially since his reason of why was released and never recaptured, or so we are told I am holding out hope!, instead of following thru with his main reason, Hyjinx ensue when he Stopped to Listen to a very not-so-nice rally from A second Salemer called Mary Lou (Shes not nice at all and It could be said . its here he meets his soon-to-be No-Maj friend Jacob whom wants to be a baker! But as hijynx ensue is pulled at first unwillingly into the magical world of wizards and magic. The way too Adorable critter responsible is called a Niffler, A mole like creature that likes glittery things wayyyyyy too much! Eventually Newt is captured by A Mecusa agent called Tina who tries talking to her superiors about her capture But is sent away and we find out its because she had been recently ( I Believe) demoted due to an event With Mary Lou and her Adopted "children" (there was like 7 or so and only used like 2 of them).

Now part of my story issue problem comes up with this storyline, as it Seemed kinda left several things hanging like why does Mary beat up Credence more than the other children? what happenned in their past? And bigest thing of all How/What were the circumstances of Credance meeting Up with Graves? Those two characters had an interesting dynamic ( I saw a father/ son vibe But i am reading others saw sexual tension) and I hope more is revealed about it as I feel Grindelwald Must of Had  more behind their meeting then meets the eye. Grindelwald We are told In the cannon was A very smart, calculating, ruthless wizard. We was the greatest threat to the wizarding world until his defeat at the hands of his Best friend, and lover. Mary Lou, Credence, and the Little girl, i feel we need more of their story but we probably might not get it. Or If we do it'll be learning more about other Obscurial.

Now as the story Continued we see Tina Decides to help get newt's case back from the mortal who had taken it instead of his pastrie case. now At his home poor jacob has A small home and A picture of his mother He didnt seem very sentimental about possetions Save for that picture. but as luck would have it he had the magic case and released 5 of the many creatures in the suitcase. and the poor muggle gets bitten by one and the rest destroys his home.... luckly Newt shows up and In a quickly witted Bit he and Tina gets to Jacob's wrecked home and as it happens also fixes the place... cause magic! And Well the duo becomes a trio whom returns to Tina's Home where her sister is waiting for her. Queenie Beguins using

Back to Love

 Hobey Ho!

Apologies it's been awile since i've posted. But hopefully I ll be back to my musings! I hope your all doing well. This pandemic has been scary and crazy, and Brought out the worst in people. It has been way too long since I last sat to write anything of interest down.

So about half an hour ago I just finished a fun little film called Still Breathing on Amazon Prime. So it was released in 1997 and Stars Heart Throb Brendan Fraser as the male lead (Fletcher McBracken) , Joanna Going as the lead female (Rosalyn Willoughby), Celeste Holm, Angus Macfadyen. It is a Beautifull little film centers around a con artist, Ros, in Los Angeles, and a puppeteer, Fletcher, In San Antonio whom has a dream about Ros. Which links the two beings together. Fletcher thru a series of making collages  that look both like and nothing like Ros, thinks she is in Japan but during his layover flight which stopped in LA. He sees a magazine that features the cute little bar/ restaurant that made him think to go to japan. We find him going to her bar to find her and litterely turns around to see her. Hijinks ensue as he beguins to woo her and she thinks hes a mark but  when he talks her too coming home with him to get out of the seedy LA,she goes and finds the beauty of his home with him. But once he explains himself she leaves him, not able to contemplate his belief in true love she returns to LA. and discovers that just maybe his belief could be true and maybe she could find hapiness with him...

So this movie is Beautifull, for being shot in the late 90's it was gorgeus. The movie leaves lots of loose ends but its a nice simple rom-com. Being a 90's kid seeing long haired Brendan Fraser was just everything. Especially seeing his funny giantesquse walk  made my heart flutter cause it reminds me of my own strange walk! lol But I loved George of the jungle, the mummy trilogy, Monkeybone, Encino man, and many others of his stuff. so its nice seeing a long haired Brendan again.

so My thoughts I loved it! simple as that! It had some bits like she was never explained why she seemed like she knew him. or what the deal was with her and her art dealer friend. or her and the lady i assume was either her aunt or her mother. or what they thought of him. but a fun little rom com about finding ourtrue loves!

Dancing divas

Hello hello!
Apologies since my last posting! I am back with another review this time for sequel to one of my favourite musicals of all time, Mamma Mia! So this movie was simply fantastic! They used a few more abba songs in it than the first, which just enhanced it for me!

The cast of younger older characters was even more fantastic! My favourite being the young Bill and young Donna played by Josh Dylan and Lily James respectively! Even the younger versions of Donna's friends was casted amazingly! I love the aged original cast! Especially mr. Dominic Cooper! Hubba hubba! Now the casting of Cher as Donna's mother was fantastic, but I would of loved nay preferred to hear more of her story especially the little love story she had, but alas we did not get it! :(  So seeing Young Harry, he totes had the gay vibe going from the start!  Which was funny and comedic!  I love the actor of older and younger Harry both were flamboyant and FABULOUS!  Now younger Sam was cute but he didn't hold the charm for me as well as older Sam did and still does! (I mean Peirce Brosnan is a gorgeous gorgeous human being!)

Towards the end of the film I felt was a bit rushed but still very enjoyable. A great new addition to the awesomeness that was the original and the album and artists who created the album and stage production!

I really really enjoyed the storyline and the new addition of more of good ol' classic Abba songs and the return of old ones!  Now here s. To the music I'll keep on coming!

What makes a show great?

Hello my Darlings. I am back I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year! today we will be talking about The Greatest Showman on Earth!

So yes this is a Musical. but a fabulous one at that. this was such a great show. like if you get a chance grab your musical loving friends and go see it! This show gets my highest praise since at times I felt like this was a live stage show I was watching! It also helped that I bought the soundtrack a couple weeks ago and have been playing it like non stop!

So Warning SPOILERS are ahead! But is int it awesome that this new musical won Best Original Song at the 2018 Golden Globes for the song "This Is Me!" I am so proud of this movie for its win! and its two other nominations! now this film really is a great film! It is meant to be seen in the Theater with other people!or just plainly with other people! but It is fun journey from start to finish! So this film stars Hugh Jackman as the title  character P.T Barnum,  Ellis Rubin as the actor of young  Barnum and Ziv Zaifman as the singing voice for young Barnum, Zak Efron as Phillip Carlyle, Michelle Williams as Charity Barnum, Zendaya as the acrobatist Anne Wheeler, and Keala Settle the Bearded lady aka Lettie Lutz!

So this film takes the Story of P.T Barnum and his creation of the famous Barnum circus which acutally had stopped performing 7 months prior to the beggining of filming! the whole cast were fabulous in all their roles! the movie has a very broadway feel to it from the get go which I love! I am quite sure I annoyed the kid sitting in front of us but wu-hey he didnt understand this theater and musically inclined author of yours! But i am sorry!

Ok so this movie Starts with the begging bit of a dream number "the Greatest Show" number of young Barnum and this Is such a great number to start this beautifull story off with! It had me toe tapping and stomping to the beat! and the costumes were just WOW!

To be Honest I did not have many issues as I enjoyed the whole film and I cant wait to add it to my collection! and dance thru the amazing soundtrack! just this film is awesome! go see it!

Peregrine, Pecular, Plots, and Pretty People!

Hobey ho Yall! So this afternoon I got to see Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children at my theatre this afternoon. First off let me say you guys need to check this one out! An amazing cast and an interesting story! Tim Burton directed this book adaptation from the novel of the same name. Now Note I have NOT read the book its based off of... But I did thoroughly enjoy the film. The Story was for the most part complete but with all things it has its plot holes.

So to start it off the biggest plothole that seemed to Be thru the main character {Jake's( Played by Asa Butterfield best known for his role as Mordered from the BBC's Merlin and Ender's game)} parents. Now you see what the hole is... is this so thruought the film they are shown to be for the most part unloving and Un caring about Jake. They go as far as to squash his theory about his grandfather and the stories Abe told Jake by making Jake go to a pshychiatrist and making him think nay believe he's crazy. The biggest issue I have with the film is this massive plothole! YES by the end Jake Just followed his grandfather's advice and found his way back to the time-loop he wanted to return too.... but I REALLY wanted/ expected Jake to return to His parents with proof, that picture for one, of some kind just to show them he is not crazy. also Another Part to this plot hole is the relationship between Franklin (Jake's dad) and Abe( played By the fabulous Terence Stamp) un-fleshed out. i would have loved to see What exactly happened that made their relationship so rocky.

Now the character of Jake was played splendidly well.... at least in my books it was! Asa Butterfield was remarkable! Miss Peregrine herself was fantastic as well, She was played by the fantastic Eva Green, of Dark Shadows(another Tim Burton film) where she played Angelique Bouchard, 300: Rise of an Empire as Artemisia, She is even a bond girl in the 2006 adaptation of Casino Royale, and as the lady Morgana in the STARZ TV adaptation of the Aurthurian legend Camelot. Grandpa Abe Was an Awesome character that was a big part of the movie! Terence Stamp (of the Christopher Reeve Superman fame, Smallville, and star wars fame)  was fantastic in this role of the loving grandfather storyteller! now on to the big baddie of the film Barron (played By the AMAZINGLY STELLAR Samuel L. Jackson, The Star Wars prequel trilogy, Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a part of the amazing Anime Afro Samurai.) Whom even tho we didnt see much of had some fantastic lines in the end. Samuel really does make a fantastic Villian!

So we did have some different locations in the film and all were interesting. The Graphics were interesting. I think my favourite special effect was Miss Peregrine's bird transformation.

In the end the Movie was splendid and awesome! If You get a chance to see it please do go see it! I saw It In 2D at a Matinee and it w\as well worth it!

To Trek Or Not to Trek?

Hobey Ho Lets go! So Its Been ahile eh? Well I am Back now. And ready to write!

Last Night I went out To the Movies and I got to see The New Star Trek Beyond, The Latest Of the New Trek. Well For Me Once I left the thetre I felt The Movie Was the BEST of the New Trek So far!

As much as I love Chris Pine as Captain James Tiberius Kirk I was glad to see the Spotlight not Stay on him throught the film, It was Nice Seeing the Spotlight follow others Like Spock and Bones, Or Mr. Scotty and Jaylah.

The villian tho Played By Idris Elba was misused I felt, I wanted more from his character, At times he seemed dull and he had No real development. I felt his masked henchmen were scarrier than He once his scarriest Moment passed and faded!

Anytime Bones Was on the screen Was just fantastic! Karl Urban Has such a great Southern drawl For His Stunning Performance In ALL the trek films but in this Instalment he Shined! The Chemistry between Bones and Spok Was engaing and witty and Entertaining to watch! I applaud Zackary Quinto (Spock) For His humourless Expression and responces to Karl Urban's Bones. It was nice When the Story refrenced The Original Spock's (Mr. Leonard Nimoy, RIP) Death. It was sad But the Short Scene was sad yet Poingnint in its Effect.... I started to tear up at it. And To Think this past year we Lost A great soul In the Young Anton Yelchin who Played Chekov in the Reboot. Young man you will be missed! Chekov's scenes were Small But to the point and his Scenes were quite good.

Aside from Bones being Bones My other favourite was the scenes We got from Scotty (Simon Pegg) And Jaylah (Sofia Boutella). I loved How scotty continued to bring her along with him thru out their Adventure. It was like he took her under his wing to train her in cases he did! And then He gave her the Option to Join Star fleet As an Engineer/officer i think? it was so sweet tho. But from the Moment they met till that end scene they were an awesome together!

In the theatre some of the scenes were a bit dark but for the most part the scenes were clear and Beautifull. Now I know some people Dont Like how some of the music was Placed in the film, but to Me it Was Perfectly fine.

All together tho this is a must see movie in my opinion. it was a good film And fun to watch, till next time keep on trucking!

Nerds can be Heroes too!

Hobey Ho lets Go! Greetings bloggers So I just got out of The New video game extraveganza Pixels! It was awsome, This is my Big summer flick and It was epic from start to finish. The characters, the story, the use of music and the Look itself made my afternoon! I admit my Only issue was how Loud the action scenes got in the theatre But overall a solid film. So Lets get into it!

WARNING DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE FILM SPOILED!!!

Ok so in this film we follow Sam Brenner (Played by Adam Sandler - 50 first dates, Hotel Transylvannia) who was a champion of Pacman, Ludlow Lamonsoff (Played by Josh Gad - Frozen) a Centipede master, Eddie Plant (Played By Peter Dinklage - Knights of Badassdom, Game Of Thrones) the King of Donkey Kong, Will Cooper (Played by Kevin James - Mall Cop, Hitch) master of the claw; from their time as children and meeting to performing in the first ever Arcade game challenge in which they find out they are being tapped, and finding out that the tape will Be added to the space time capsule that will be launched into outer space in the Hopes that Extra Terristrial Life finds it and that they too know we exist! well the film does jump to the present in which we meet up with the second placer Sam who has settled Into his life as a Electronics installer and its here we also see will has become the president of the USA. The aliens have beguin their attack and after we meet the female lead in the film, Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Played by Michelle Monaghan - Made Of Honor) we are reintroduced to Ludlow who nearly gets beaten up by Sam but damn poor guy And he shows us that some nerds Never grow up or Out of their childhood crushes! But in the USA we meet Admiral Porter ( Played by Brian Cox - Troy, Braveheart) who seems to really dislike his president Will and Sam, his story was one of the plotholes left open... But Now that the aliens have beguin the battle our heroes have to suit up after the Taj-mahal gets attacked the aliens have two trophies and our heroes are off to London England to deal with the 3rd battle. In London we meet another officer, Corporal Hill (Played by Sean Bean - Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings) who trys to keep the order of things going but gets dismissed when his SEALS appear to be failing its Here two of the Heroes have to step up to the plate and defend their home!  Now in London we meet the prime minister whom dear old Will simply cant understand But oh so funny! After their first real battle against the alien's Is a success we return to america where We are Reintroduced to Eddie Who is just as charming and witty as He was In the past! (note I simply adore how well their Young Eddie transitioned to the older Eddie! Peter did an amazing job And tubular!) So Our heroes find out their 3rd battle Is Pacman and In an amazing display of Stunts and special effects we Got an amazing end that was Like WHOAAAAAAAA! I mean Literally I was all WHOOOOOOAAAAAAAAA! So after all the Whoaaaing We see the victory party which is cut short By the Alien's stating we forfeit as one or all has cheated, we find its just one who did And we learn thats how he became the champion.... Violet's son is taken as the third ,forfeighted, trophy and then we find our Heroes are without help as they figure Out a plan. They learn from Q*bert, one of their trophys, about the aliens. the following day Will Joins them with weapons and all are suited up as they find themselves facing anihilation if they dont beat the aliens back. in another awsome string of scenes sees our heroes doing battle in the attempt to get under the alien's starship the group seperates with Will, Violet and Sam continuing on to the ship and Eddie and Ludlow on the earth protecting their fellow humans. Ludlow eventually comes across his pixellated sweetheart the Lady Lisa and finds he cannot bring himself to hurt her, in a beautifully quiet scene he tells her his feelings and she too stops. back on the ship, the others find their final challenge is Donkey Kong And Sam Learns from Violet's son that he is the champion truly and thus Donkey Kong Beguins.... in the end Our Heroes won And showed the world that nerds can be heroes too and even gaming can be usefull! :)

The Visuals and Special effects were so spectacular In the show, like how they brought the 80's arcade game characters to life in magnificent 3D. Even the pixels that came out of buildings when the aliens begain their Battle! Everything had such brilliant colours!

The story was fulfilling right to the end all in all a very enjoyable film I reccomend it completely! I rate this film 8 tubulars out of 10!

Knaves Round BEWARE

...... For thine battle is yet to be gotten this very night!
Apologies! Gratitutde readers this review is all on the 2013 film Knights of Badassdom, starring Peter Dinklage (Hung), Summer Glau (Gwen), Brett Gipson & Tom Hopper (Gunther), Ryan Kwanten (Joe), Steve Zahn (Eric), Jimmi Simpson (Ronnie kwok) and several others In this (legendary) Epic! Now firstly I must admit I first really wanted to see the film cause peter was in it and it and it had made its way to my radar due to it has swords, LARPing involved (LARP- Live-action RolePlay), and just Plain old fun involved. Now this film is an R rated film but thats besides the point, the Point being its AWSOME! And it shows a bit more into the world of us fellow geeks! when you have a film with Succubus demon wench involved and whole lot of shrooms one cant go wrong! Warning tho this film Is not to be taken lightly! but it is fun if you need a laugh! Now I have been to a Medieval gathering and this was awsome, I have to admit its kinda funny thinking of the ironic ness of the film that if you get too into the game you could really do some nasty damage with forces you dont know about! As I was saying... this film is awsome! But It has Some sad moments and some truly Horrific and funny ones.... RIP Ser Hung, and all the other LARP'ers that died At the battle of Evermore!

The Songs or Lyrical musical pieces were not my cup of tea but they surprised me by not being too horrible to mine ears. all the scores Had me quite indepth with the film, and didnt take me Out Of it. which is  good. but very enjoyable. other than In the beggining But that was me just getting Into it and i am glad I stayed thru till the end! In the end tho I am glad to see how they wrapped Up, rather nicely, the use of music with the singing of the incantations to finally defeat the monster.

I must say the costumes were epic as was the main characters castle like home. Also the Foamy like weapons and actual weapons of steel were epic! I felt bad ser Hung's mace was bent! I also quite enjoyed How Ser hung and his 'shrooms as well As His twin blades! its safe to say Ser Hung is my favourite character and i was sad when he died But was incredibly happy to see him 'reanimated" in the end of the film! I found the red subtitles In the movie entertaining as well as it helps with the maps! which were well drawn up! Also THE DRAGON!!! awsome!

I have to say my favourite scenes, the  middlesomewhat, where Hung is explaining the Larping to Joe, and how to get points particularily funny as Peter Dinklage gives an Awsome several lessons to joe! its also where are heroes meet gwen Who seems beautiful yet dangerous, and also had a funny bit about Her afterwards! but my second favourite scene would have to be the end once Hung's corpse is reanimated and we are reminded of His epic lesson to joe earlier on!

At the end of the day a great film to watch if you need a laugh! And just awsome little adventure!

The Good and the evil!

Ok so Howdy yall!! Warrior goddess Back with another Movie Review! I Know Its actually Only been ..... what only a month and i am releasing another review? hehehhe well I figure its time I try and Make good on my promise here! Ok so the Movie i seen this Night Was Malifecent! For Disney to take a villian Pretty dastardly evil and Humanize her was pretty.... cool!  Now WARNING This review is spoilerrific! So be warned !!!!

Now on the topic Of the Movie Itself. I seen it In 3D and was pretty Happy with it. all in all it was nice seeing my local theater filled Up as it was... Thankfully and somehow I had managed to get my butt Into a seat close to the Middle and somehow had not gotten surrounded cept when I went to the concession :P so that was that! Now For a Disney movie that had a couple Big battle sequences I was quite Impressed with them! All together there was only one part of the story I would have liked a Bit more light shed upon!

So the Movie itself reminded me a bit of Disney ABC's Once Upon a Time show that will Be entering Its fourth season this fall. The reason it reminds me Of the show is Kind of the way the story unfolded and How the True love's Kiss took Place! Now In the show we do see the Story tool Used LOTS But still enough to keep us enthralled.... in the movie At that Point it was Kinda foreseen. This was One Of the quirks I had with the movie as it took me Out Of it for the Moment. now On A better reminding Note as that Little bit reminded Me Of the show, The FIRST battle sequence we saw was awsome And Well done and reminded Me a lot of The recent Chronicles of Narnia and the epic scale of the battles In those films. It was A good reminiscing In the beggining of the movie!

Ok So Angelina Jole Is the title role of Malifecent! And You Know I was sitting In my seat totally Enjoying Her film presceance as well as the regal way Angelina held herself through out the film! Like When Malifecent was flying thru the air or reciting Aurora's gifts/ curse scene, I LOVED It like Angelina Jolie just ..... just brought the classic evil and regalness of the character to Life and It ALL worked! I sat there Just mesmerized At How the young Actress whom Portrayed Young Malifecent Did A Wonderfull Job of Getting a good deal Of Angelina's manerizims and Way of carrying herself thruought her scenes!  Elle Fanning did An awsome job of playing the Inquisitive princess nicknamed * Beast/beastie (not sure which)* lol  by Malifecent Her "fairy Gods mother*! heheheh Also All the young actresses portraying younger Aurora Including One of Angelina's children, did awsomely as well! I have to say tho I was NOT sold On the actors who Played Stephan(father of Aurora and king) I was glad His scenes were short As I did not like How the actors handled Him or Just How he was written or all three But ya! I Liked Prince Phillip and his actor! he was cute and charming and I was Brought back to the animated feature of how animated Phillip was and was quite pleased!

Now On another Bit, I found some of the scenes to be a bit much... this cause In some scenes It felt as If they were trying to put so much Other stuff Into it to take Away from the plot Of the scene. Now dont get Me wrong I Love how detailed Most Of the scenes were. but those few felt a little .... crowded!  Disney Movies Have always held great visual Impact Upon me since I first watched Disney films. The wide Beautifull vistas were very beautifull to Look at and made me want to Jump in and explore it! The Visual effects were quite good As well as the sound effects. This film Was Good In How It handled Maleficent And Her Powers!

The Pixis were Interesting, in their stupidy! i was Not really Happy with them, I had It figured we Might see the comical scene of make it blue/pink/spoltch of colours in the end with Aurora's dress but alas we did not. But I was Very happy to Hear, to see the Iconic curse scene! The scene from the classic that I was glad was pretty Much word for word from the original! as i said above Angelina Jolie and the effects team as well as the writters did superbly! The scene felt Wright and Hearing it from the way angelina delivered the scene and The camera men shoot it was superb!

The story itself was sound And all in all pretty good. the Only thing I had issue with is the whole Malifecent going all evil, it had a hole in that Part of the story for if memory serves me correctly, Maleficent has satanic Like Powers and/or Shes like THE Villian! And Like she has/had some Kind of deal with some dark god(satan maybe i think?) to get Her dark powers. Now YES the Movie does say in the Beggining somewhere And again towards the end that she IS the most Powerful fairy there, even tho we dont see any other fairies I don't think?  so ya But I think the writers couldhave given us a bit More On that front. But aside from that i did enjoy the film!

The many Magical creatures were awsome and amazing to look at and made me wonder at their creation and Like what Inspired them? as well as made me curious to their History and and such!

So all in all i give this film 8 out of 10 swords! it was a great film, see it in 3D in 2D and Just enjoy!
