Apologies! Gratitutde readers this review is all on the 2013 film Knights of Badassdom, starring Peter Dinklage (Hung), Summer Glau (Gwen), Brett Gipson & Tom Hopper (Gunther), Ryan Kwanten (Joe), Steve Zahn (Eric), Jimmi Simpson (Ronnie kwok) and several others In this (legendary) Epic! Now firstly I must admit I first really wanted to see the film cause peter was in it and it and it had made its way to my radar due to it has swords, LARPing involved (LARP- Live-action RolePlay), and just Plain old fun involved. Now this film is an R rated film but thats besides the point, the Point being its AWSOME! And it shows a bit more into the world of us fellow geeks! when you have a film with Succubus demon wench involved and whole lot of shrooms one cant go wrong! Warning tho this film Is not to be taken lightly! but it is fun if you need a laugh! Now I have been to a Medieval gathering and this was awsome, I have to admit its kinda funny thinking of the ironic ness of the film that if you get too into the game you could really do some nasty damage with forces you dont know about! As I was saying... this film is awsome! But It has Some sad moments and some truly Horrific and funny ones.... RIP Ser Hung, and all the other LARP'ers that died At the battle of Evermore!

The Songs or Lyrical musical pieces were not my cup of tea but they surprised me by not being too horrible to mine ears. all the scores Had me quite indepth with the film, and didnt take me Out Of it. which is  good. but very enjoyable. other than In the beggining But that was me just getting Into it and i am glad I stayed thru till the end! In the end tho I am glad to see how they wrapped Up, rather nicely, the use of music with the singing of the incantations to finally defeat the monster.

I must say the costumes were epic as was the main characters castle like home. Also the Foamy like weapons and actual weapons of steel were epic! I felt bad ser Hung's mace was bent! I also quite enjoyed How Ser hung and his 'shrooms as well As His twin blades! its safe to say Ser Hung is my favourite character and i was sad when he died But was incredibly happy to see him 'reanimated" in the end of the film! I found the red subtitles In the movie entertaining as well as it helps with the maps! which were well drawn up! Also THE DRAGON!!! awsome!

I have to say my favourite scenes, the  middlesomewhat, where Hung is explaining the Larping to Joe, and how to get points particularily funny as Peter Dinklage gives an Awsome several lessons to joe! its also where are heroes meet gwen Who seems beautiful yet dangerous, and also had a funny bit about Her afterwards! but my second favourite scene would have to be the end once Hung's corpse is reanimated and we are reminded of His epic lesson to joe earlier on!

At the end of the day a great film to watch if you need a laugh! And just awsome little adventure!

The Good and the evil!

Ok so Howdy yall!! Warrior goddess Back with another Movie Review! I Know Its actually Only been ..... what only a month and i am releasing another review? hehehhe well I figure its time I try and Make good on my promise here! Ok so the Movie i seen this Night Was Malifecent! For Disney to take a villian Pretty dastardly evil and Humanize her was pretty.... cool!  Now WARNING This review is spoilerrific!So be warned !!!!

Now on the topic Of the Movie Itself. I seen it In 3D and was pretty Happy with it. all in all it was nice seeing my local theater filled Up as it was... Thankfully and somehow I had managed to get my butt Into a seat close to the Middle and somehow had not gotten surrounded cept when I went to the concession :P so that was that! Now For a Disney movie that had a couple Big battle sequences I was quite Impressed with them! All together there was only one part of the story I would have liked a Bit more light shed upon!

So the Movie itself reminded me a bit of Disney ABC's Once Upon a Time show that will Be entering Its fourth season this fall. The reason it reminds me Of the show is Kind of the way the story unfolded and How the True love's Kiss took Place! Now In the show we do see the Story tool Used LOTS But still enough to keep us enthralled.... in the movie At that Point it was Kinda foreseen. This was One Of the quirks I had with the movie as it took me Out Of it for the Moment. now On A better reminding Note as that Little bit reminded Me Of the show, The FIRST battle sequence we saw was awsome And Well done and reminded Me a lot of The recent Chronicles of Narnia and the epic scale of the battles In those films. It was A good reminiscing In the beggining of the movie!

Ok So Angelina Jole Is the title role of Malifecent! And You Know I was sitting In my seat totally Enjoying Her film presceance as well as the regal way Angelina held herself through out the film! Like When Malifecent was flying thru the air or reciting Aurora's gifts/ curse scene, I LOVED It like Angelina Jolie just ..... just brought the classic evil and regalness of the character to Life and It ALL worked! I sat there Just mesmerized At How the young Actress whom Portrayed Young Malifecent Did A Wonderfull Job of Getting a good deal Of Angelina's manerizims and Way of carrying herself thruought her scenes!  Elle Fanning did An awsome job of playing the Inquisitive princess nicknamed * Beast/beastie (not sure which)* lol  by Malifecent Her "fairy Gods mother*! heheheh Also All the young actresses portraying younger Aurora Including One of Angelina's children, did awsomely as well! I have to say tho I was NOT sold On the actors who Played Stephan(father of Aurora and king) I was glad His scenes were short As I did not like How the actors handled Him or Just How he was written or all three But ya! I Liked Prince Phillip and his actor! he was cute and charming and I was Brought back to the animated feature of how animated Phillip was and was quite pleased!

Now On another Bit, I found some of the scenes to be a bit much... this cause In some scenes It felt as If they were trying to put so much Other stuff Into it to take Away from the plot Of the scene. Now dont get Me wrong I Love how detailed Most Of the scenes were. but those few felt a little .... crowded!  Disney Movies Have always held great visual Impact Upon me since I first watched Disney films. The wide Beautifull vistas were very beautifull to Look at and made me want to Jump in and explore it! The Visual effects were quite good As well as the sound effects. This film Was Good In How It handled Maleficent And Her Powers!

The Pixis were Interesting, in their stupidy! i was Not really Happy with them, I had It figured we Might see the comical scene of make it blue/pink/spoltch of colours in the end with Aurora's dress but alas we did not. But I was Very happy to Hear, to see the Iconic curse scene! The scene from the classic that I was glad was pretty Much word for word from the original! as i said above Angelina Jolie and the effects team as well as the writters did superbly! The scene felt Wright and Hearing it from the way angelina delivered the scene and The camera men shoot it was superb!

The story itself was sound And all in all pretty good. the Only thing I had issue with is the whole Malifecent going all evil, it had a hole in that Part of the story for if memory serves me correctly, Maleficent has satanic Like Powers and/or Shes like THE Villian! And Like she has/had some Kind of deal with some dark god(satan maybe i think?) to get Her dark powers. Now YES the Movie does say in the Beggining somewhere And again towards the end that she IS the most Powerful fairy there, even tho we dont see any other fairies I don't think?  so ya But I think the writers couldhave given us a bit More On that front. But aside from that i did enjoy the film!

The many Magical creatures were awsome and amazing to look at and made me wonder at their creation and Like what Inspired them? as well as made me curious to their History and and such!

So all in all i give this film 8 out of 10 swords! it was a great film, see it in 3D in 2D and Just enjoy!

Arks, Animals and NOAH

Yes that's right I am back! Gratitude for being patient with me my followers!

THIS IS SPOILERY!!!!!!!!  If you Have NOT seen Noah TURN BACK NOW !!!!!!

So today i went to the Matinee today And went and seen the new Darren Aronofsky film Noah! I saw the film In 2D But was amazed regardless! now out of the whole film I had Only A  couple of negative thoughts but the rest of the film was quite enjoyable! Now i do Know and i am aware that Darren is an athiest But to be Honest, He did an awsome job in My Mind!

Ok so first off I really enjoyed Russel Crowe And Ray Winstone`s performances! Russel As The title Character Noah Just was beautifull! I admit It I went to see the film mainly for Russel but thats beside the Point He made A fantastic Noah and a dreamy one at that! Ray made such a great bad guy! He made a great Badguy that A Person both wanted more out Of and from as well as that of a character that was fun to dislike.

Ok so I have only seen two other Darren Aronofsky films, The Fountain and Black Swan, In My opinion  I thought Noah was A fun film to watch. When we were listening and watching the creation of the world we saw it in a more ''evolutionairy'' process, this was fast paced awsome camera work that was Intriguing, he used this type of camera work a couple types first was that of when Noah planted a special seed that Basically made a life grow at the foot of a Beautiful Mountain area, and then He used it again during Noah's retelling of the Bible story And the whole creation part. This kinda camera work is cool and intriguing to me, but you see he used this camera work in the fountain near the end of the film and all I can say Is WOW! I dont recall this fast pace camera work was used in Black swan but it was beautifull regardless and added an interesting layer to the film Noah!

In the Movie Noah, we see the boy Noah see his father killed by a descendent of Cain called Tubal-Cain (who Is the King! of all the bad Misguided people and decendents of adam and eve!) But ok so we see how the world had been devestated by these descendents of Cain who were originally helped by fallen angels called Watchers! And these same beings Help Noah out later On! So ok, we see A father named Noah now with His family, And we see that Noah and his family are vegetarians! ( they dont eat meat! EVER! in the Movie) well noah ends Up Having this weird dream where he sees this beautiful alive and green Mountain, he then sees a vast Burned black ground that turns Out to be blood ( EWWW) and then hes Breathing UNDERWATER! well then Noah  wakes up and tells His wife Naameh ( Played by the beautiful Jennifer Connely) About the dream and how it comes from the Creator, Well then they decide to go to the mountain which is where Noah's grandfather, Methusula, lives, along the way Noah's sons, Shem or Ham, finds a Young girl amidst a slaughter Of her kinsman where she recieved a bad Injury to her womb and Is made barren because of it, well Noah being Kindhearted takes the girl in and adopts her Into his family, her name is Ila ( played later by Emma Watson). So some of Ila's family's killers show up and chase Noah and his family Into Lands belonging to The Watchers. well the Watchers end up abducting Noah and his family but then One of them Believes Noah's story and takes Him and his family to where Methusula and His mountain is. Noah goes up with his eldest Shem, and And we Meet Methusula ( Anthony Hopkins) and Methusula makes a joke with Shem about Berries.... well shem gets Put to sleep While Noah and he talks... So Methusula gets Noah to think about the creator's message and it works Noah realizes what he must do in Building the ark and Methusula gives Noah a seed from The Original Garden of Eden. well then we see Noah and Shem return to the rest of their family and then the other watchers show up and we hear the rest of their story and Noah plants the seed and then we see cool camera work showing the effect this has and A new forest is grown within a matter of Minutes right around their little camp and The Watchers decide then to help build the ark as they Believe the creator's hand is at work! so now the Movie jumps forward.... About eight years or so and the ark Is nearly done.  First comes all that flies so birds! Then all that slithers and lives partially on land an partially in water, so reptiles!.... well once the animals are On In there spots Noah and His family get this Incense going and they put the animals to sleep and secure them! Well Man kind under King Tublar-Cain  has become incredibly violent and becoming cannoaballistic too each other. Tublar-Cain Leads His, following the birds, Kind to Noah who He is told '' the ark is for the innocent'' and not the Likes of Tublar's flock! this enrages this king. Tublar-Cain Promises to return and claim the ark, '' Fortress'' , and Makes camp with His flock Away from Noah and His ark after The Watchers make their alliegience Known and pushes Tubal's forces back....  Now Ila and shem are shown to Have fun in the forest! This leads to Ila talking to both Noah and Naameh and revealing that she is barren at this Point, and that what she wants Is for Shem, Ham and Japheth( the three sons of Noah) to each be able to have relationships and A family which is something she cant give Shem. Noah then decides to enter Into Tubalar's camp and see If he can find three girls he could bring on to his ark to'save' well Noah realizes the finality of the charge the creator gave him and the evil that was in mankind that must be cleansed!( this is the beggining of My Issue) during this Point, Naameh goes and talks with Methusula and asks him to help Ila and Noah. the berry Joke is brought up again! ( Poor old guy does not get his berry till he dies! you would think shem would remember!) well at this Point the mammals show up two by two! ( many digital creatures!) and they are all put to sleep! Ham argues with His father about finding a girl for himself and ends up running off and Ila runs after him but ends Up meeting Methusula, who is looking for his berries! well Ham runs off to Tublar-Cain's camp and ends up falling into a pit where the dead lay, in there he meets a girl.... back with Methusula and Ila, Ila attempts to help great grandfather find a berry but ends up talking and Methusula tells Ila He has yet to give His adopted grandaughter His blessing, and gives it to her, Unknown is that He reverses her barenness. The sky becomes thick with rain clouds and Noah sends Shem out to go looking for ham and Ila... Shem finds  Ila and the two  make sweet passionate love in the forest! well the rains start as Shem and Ila return to the ark and Noah goes out searching for Ham! At this point ham and his girl  get out of the pit and as they Are running his girl gets her foot caught In a animal trap. At This Point when the rains started Tublar-Cain gives A speech to his flock and they start running towards the ark In desire to kill the giants and take over the ark.... Noah finds Ham and his girl as the flock is coming at them and Noah just grabs his son who gets dragged and watches his girl get killed by a running mob... well now they run to the ark.... the battle begins and The Watchers find that since they disgraced themselves from the Creator by Helping adam and eve and the descendants of Cain and they were killed or tried to return to the creator, they found they could not! well know that they had helped the creator's choosen, Noah, when the Humans defeated them they returned to their true Angel forms and returned to the creator!  The Battle raged on and by the last Angel returning to the creator the waives crashed into the ark and the flood  of the earth begain! Tubal-Cain who killed the first giant in the battle got a nasty wound and ended up hobbling uto the ark and managed to climb it and somehow managed to get himself inside it with His axe\Hammner! ... As the rains come down Methusula finally finds his berry and eats it and dies in the flood..... Ok so Ham eventually finds Tubal and tells him His father's plan And Tublar fills ham's head with thoughts of vengenance and Betraying his father. eventually Ila starts feeling sick and learns that she is preagnant and when Ila, Shem, and Naameh tell Noah, he becomes hostile,on this day the rains stop falling from the sky  when they tell Noah the news. learning the news and seeing the rains stop Noah thinks that mankind was not to survive the flood at all, and then tells his family his reasoning of How things will be which turns Most of them from Noah as He asks for help from the creator and Being answered with nothing Noah believes that the creator has turned from him until the issue is resolved..... Ila's belly quickly Grows in the time they are at sea.... Shem and Ila decide to leave and have a Built a boat for themselves, but on the day they were to leave, Noah appears And sets fire to their craft and this causes Ila to go Into early labour. Naameh takes care of her and shem stands guard. Its at this time Tubal hatches his plan and gets ham to trick his father to come to him.... well a battle beguins between Tubal- Cain and Noah and Ila gives birth to twin girls and shem decides he wont Let His father kill his daughters and joins the brawl below. the Ark crashes into the top of a mountain which Knocks everyone off balance but the men continue their fight, Tubal looks like hes going to take out Noah when Ham comes to his sences and kills the nasty king! Noah climbs to the top where he finds Ila with her Newborns and looks like hes about to kill them when Ila pleads to let her soothe her babes first, as she hums the same tune he Humned to her when he first found her, the Old Loving noah returns  and as he readys to do the deed he finds he cant...... a little while later Noah Now the waters Have recided and dry land is abundant again and teeming with new life and the animals Hve been release we see Shem building a home for his family, we then see Noah as he goes thru this stage of drinking and then we find him butNaked And his eldest and His Youngest boy help him  we see ham and he decides to leave and the pain of lossing the girl and everything that happened was too much and he leaves.... Ila has words with Noah asking him why he did not kill the babes and he gives her sweet explanation'' Love'' and then he goes and finds his wife  and they play in the dirt!

Ok so that was my synopsis! lol Ok so i had issue with seeing Noah go from this Man who wanted to save His family and the ''Innocent'' to this Man who Believes,  after seeing the horror of Cain's descendents killing each other and other horrors of mankind, that Humanity in general must completely Perish if Life is to beguin anew! dont get me wrong theres lots of good reasoning behind it But I dont.... think Noah should have reacted so harshly towards His adopted daughter and his first born son's preagnancy. Noah should have been more reasonable but i guess after seeing the horror of what man kind had become  and what he believed to be the creator's will... still this was the one part that rubbed me wrong!

You see i do have a christian Background but I also have  A very sciency way of thinking so i think this movie is great if you come to it just wanting a good movie to enjoy. Dont come expecting anything from it and you will find it a far more enjoyable experience. Well in all the movie was great and I enjoyed It all! And would see it again!
