Hobey ho Yall! So this afternoon I got to see Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children at my theatre this afternoon. First off let me say you guys need to check this one out! An amazing cast and an interesting story! Tim Burton directed this book adaptation from the novel of the same name. Now Note I have NOT read the book its based off of... But I did thoroughly enjoy the film. The Story was for the most part complete but with all things it has its plot holes.
So to start it off the biggest plothole that seemed to Be thru the main character {Jake's( Played by Asa Butterfield best known for his role as Mordered from the BBC's Merlin and Ender's game)} parents. Now you see what the hole is... is this so thruought the film they are shown to be for the most part unloving and Un caring about Jake. They go as far as to squash his theory about his grandfather and the stories Abe told Jake by making Jake go to a pshychiatrist and making him think nay believe he's crazy. The biggest issue I have with the film is this massive plothole! YES by the end Jake Just followed his grandfather's advice and found his way back to the time-loop he wanted to return too.... but I REALLY wanted/ expected Jake to return to His parents with proof, that picture for one, of some kind just to show them he is not crazy. also Another Part to this plot hole is the relationship between Franklin (Jake's dad) and Abe( played By the fabulous Terence Stamp) un-fleshed out. i would have loved to see What exactly happened that made their relationship so rocky.
Now the character of Jake was played splendidly well.... at least in my books it was! Asa Butterfield was remarkable! Miss Peregrine herself was fantastic as well, She was played by the fantastic Eva Green, of Dark Shadows(another Tim Burton film) where she played Angelique Bouchard, 300: Rise of an Empire as Artemisia, She is even a bond girl in the 2006 adaptation of Casino Royale, and as the lady Morgana in the STARZ TV adaptation of the Aurthurian legend Camelot. Grandpa Abe Was an Awesome character that was a big part of the movie! Terence Stamp (of the Christopher Reeve Superman fame, Smallville, and star wars fame) was fantastic in this role of the loving grandfather storyteller! now on to the big baddie of the film Barron (played By the AMAZINGLY STELLAR Samuel L. Jackson, The Star Wars prequel trilogy, Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a part of the amazing Anime Afro Samurai.) Whom even tho we didnt see much of had some fantastic lines in the end. Samuel really does make a fantastic Villian!
So we did have some different locations in the film and all were interesting. The Graphics were interesting. I think my favourite special effect was Miss Peregrine's bird transformation.
In the end the Movie was splendid and awesome! If You get a chance to see it please do go see it! I saw It In 2D at a Matinee and it w\as well worth it!
Well life is awesome when you are constantly looking for new great food to try, movies and T.V. series to watch and chat about!

To Trek Or Not to Trek?
Hobey Ho Lets go! So Its Been ahile eh? Well I am Back now. And ready to write!
Last Night I went out To the Movies and I got to see The New Star Trek Beyond, The Latest Of the New Trek. Well For Me Once I left the thetre I felt The Movie Was the BEST of the New Trek So far!
As much as I love Chris Pine as Captain James Tiberius Kirk I was glad to see the Spotlight not Stay on him throught the film, It was Nice Seeing the Spotlight follow others Like Spock and Bones, Or Mr. Scotty and Jaylah.
The villian tho Played By Idris Elba was misused I felt, I wanted more from his character, At times he seemed dull and he had No real development. I felt his masked henchmen were scarrier than He once his scarriest Moment passed and faded!
Anytime Bones Was on the screen Was just fantastic! Karl Urban Has such a great Southern drawl For His Stunning Performance In ALL the trek films but in this Instalment he Shined! The Chemistry between Bones and Spok Was engaing and witty and Entertaining to watch! I applaud Zackary Quinto (Spock) For His humourless Expression and responces to Karl Urban's Bones. It was nice When the Story refrenced The Original Spock's (Mr. Leonard Nimoy, RIP) Death. It was sad But the Short Scene was sad yet Poingnint in its Effect.... I started to tear up at it. And To Think this past year we Lost A great soul In the Young Anton Yelchin who Played Chekov in the Reboot. Young man you will be missed! Chekov's scenes were Small But to the point and his Scenes were quite good.
Aside from Bones being Bones My other favourite was the scenes We got from Scotty (Simon Pegg) And Jaylah (Sofia Boutella). I loved How scotty continued to bring her along with him thru out their Adventure. It was like he took her under his wing to train her in cases he did! And then He gave her the Option to Join Star fleet As an Engineer/officer i think? it was so sweet tho. But from the Moment they met till that end scene they were an awesome together!
In the theatre some of the scenes were a bit dark but for the most part the scenes were clear and Beautifull. Now I know some people Dont Like how some of the music was Placed in the film, but to Me it Was Perfectly fine.
All together tho this is a must see movie in my opinion. it was a good film And fun to watch, till next time keep on trucking!
